YES!
Viktor Dudar, military journalist from Lviv region, volunteer. From the first day of the Russian invasion, he went to defend Ukraine as part of the 80th Separate Air Assault Brigade. He died on March 2, 2022 during the battles with the Russian invaders near Mykolaiv.
The aggressor seeks to wipe out any evidence of his crimes from the face of the earth. Therefore, they kill all possible witnesses - military, civilians and journalists.
If the Russian military had not killed Viktor, he could have described his front-line memories. How cunningly the Russians are bombing civilians in Mykolaiv.
He would tell about the destruction of residential buildings in Mykolaiv; a hospital that helped cancer patients throughout the region; a boarding school; a boiler room that warmed the townspeople in the basements; the station from which the civilian population tried to evacuate away from the bombardments; about the insidious missile attack on the city administration...
The killings and shootings of journalists are a gross violation of international law. The enemy can turn a blind eye to laws, but he cannot close the eyes of the world to crimes. After all, honouring the memory of those who died for the truth, we will continue to tell their immortal stories.
